Voor Nederlands zie onderaan. As the Design Manager Womenswear, you will establish the creative direction for our Womenswear collection. You will convert our brand strategy, customer insights, and international fashion trends into a clear design vision, ensuring a consistent and recognizable style throughout the collection. From seasonal concepts and color directions to silhouettes, materials, and details, you will guide your team towards achieving our goals.

The Role

You will oversee the entire design process from initial concept to final collection. You will challenge and guide design choices, maintain quality and brand consistency, and continuously balance creativity, commercial relevance, and wearability. You will stay close to the product and be hands-on when necessary, while your main focus will be on setting direction and enabling your team to perform at their best.

Fashion instinct alone is not enough. You will understand our customer, be aware of international market trends, and use sales performance and consumer insights to make informed design decisions. You will identify new opportunities and translate them into collections that are relevant, distinctive, and unmistakably WE®.

Collaboration is essential. You will work closely with the Director of Womens & Kidswear and partner with the Buying Manager Womenswear and Head of Merchandising Womenswear throughout the collection process.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire our Womenswear Designers.
• Provide clear creative direction and foster an environment for talent growth.
• Set high standards while enabling team members to develop their skills and take ownership.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Womenswear design with a proven track record of translating brand identity, trends, and customer insights into successful collections.
• Experience in setting creative direction and a blend of strategic and conceptual thinking with hands-on design skills.
• Proven people leadership skills, capable of coaching and developing Designers while building a collaborative team.
• A commercial mindset with a deep understanding of the fast-moving fashion environment.
• Proficiency in English and comfortable collaborating with various disciplines, international suppliers, and partners.
• Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Illustrator, with experience in Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
