The De-kitting and Test Engineer is responsible for the safe teardown, diagnostic testing, and validation of decommissioned hardware. This role emphasizes strict adherence to ESD protocols and SOPs for efficient component harvesting and testing.

The De-kitting and Test Engineer manages the technical teardown, diagnostic testing, and system-level validation of decommissioned hardware. This position requires a commitment to following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to safely harvest components, execute test scripts, and document functional results.

Responsibilities

Technical De-kitting: Safely and systematically remove hardware components such as line cards, optics, cables, and PDUs while adhering to ESD handling protocols.
Functional & System Testing: Conduct component-level diagnostics and system-level testing utilizing client-provided test scripts and hardware.
Log & Data Capture: Record diagnostic logs, validate pass/fail criteria, and accurately document technical results in ProcureAnt or other designated tools.
Failure Analysis: Detect defective or missing components, isolate technical failures, and assist in root-cause documentation for failed units.
Disposition Prep: Prepare both functional and non-functional items for repackaging, ensuring precise component tracking for final disposition.
