We are looking for a skilled Finance Manager / Financial Controller to lead our financial governance, regulatory reporting, and capital management efforts. This role is crucial for ensuring robust financial controls, precise regulatory submissions, and effective financial planning while serving as a key point of contact for auditors and regulators.

The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing financial and regulatory oversight, capital planning, budgeting, and financial controls. Your hands-on approach will help maintain compliance and enhance financial processes within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage funds monitoring to ensure the company maintains adequate regulatory capital.
• Prepare and submit regulatory financial reports in line with applicable requirements.
• Monitor financial metrics and regulatory ratios for ongoing compliance.
• Develop and maintain capital projections and financial forecasts.
• Support management with financial planning, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Provide insights on capital efficiency and financial performance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updates.
• Track budget performance and offer variance analysis to senior management.
• Act as the primary liaison with external auditors during audits.
• Coordinate audit requests and ensure timely documentation.
• Oversee and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and reporting efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or financial control, preferably in financial services or regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and capital requirements.
• Experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent analytical skills to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
