About the Company
We are recruiting on behalf of an innovative, fast-scaling Irish tech startup that is revolutionising B2B supplier sourcing. Their AI-powered platform automates supplier discovery, validation, and matching for global buyers. Having secured strong market traction, they are expanding their engineering team and looking for a versatile Contract Data Engineer/Analyst to help build, monitor, and optimise their next generation of AI products.
The Role
Our client needs a hybrid specialist—someone who enjoys building robust Python data pipelines but also brings the analytical curiosity to monitor AI model performance and run optimisation experiments. This role is 100% remote from anywhere in Europe, offering high autonomy, a collaborative team culture, and the chance to work directly with cutting-edge LLMs and AI workflows.
Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient Python to build, maintain, and scale data pipelines and AI tools.
- Own data acquisition workflows, including web scraping/crawling and integrating 3rd-party APIs.
- Evaluate and monitor the output quality of the AI-driven matching system to ensure accuracy.
- Design and run tests to validate the performance of new AI-driven features.
- Work closely with the Head of Engineering and product teams to turn data insights into live features.
Requirements
- Strong, demonstrable experience writing production-ready Python.
- Solid hands-on experience with web crawling, scraping, and API integrations.
- A strong background in data analytics, statistics, and evaluating AI/ML model performance.
- Experience utilising AI workflows for development and testing.
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and possessing excellent communication skills to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Prior experience in startups, B2B marketplaces, or procurement/sourcing tech.
