We are seeking a Data Center Technician for a position in Groningen. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center hardware, ensuring compliance with specific protocols and safety standards for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns for equipment such as racks, hard drives, and switches, following detailed instructions and standard protocols.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are configured correctly according to safety and deployment standards.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting using standard procedures to identify and resolve issues, including replacing faulty components.
• Decommission hardware for changes and refreshes, such as memory upgrades or OS rebuilds, with minimal guidance.
• Follow established procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to Data Center Technician Leads.

Requirements

• Education: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology is required.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components; familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a data center environment is preferred.

Work Environment

This role requires working Monday through Friday during core business hours, between 7 AM and 7 PM. We will provide a Windows 11 compatible laptop and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel or composite toe-boots, a hard hat or helmet, safety glasses, impact-resistant gloves, a high visibility vest, and ear plugs.
