We are currently in search of a Data Center Technician to join one of our largest clients in Middenmeer. This position is perfect for individuals with hands-on technical abilities who enjoy working in a systematic data center setting and following established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct start-ups and shutdowns of data center equipment such as racks, hard drives, switches, and servers, adhering to detailed instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform post-deployment quality checks to ensure grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling comply with safety requirements, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Execute diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, swiftly identifying root causes and replacing faulty components (e.g., motherboards, CPUs, IPUs, memory).
• Decommission hardware for basic changes and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, in accordance with documented processes and with minimal supervision.
• Clearly communicate, document work, and report or escalate incidents to the appropriate Data Center Technician Leads as necessary.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and internal components.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologies.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and replacing defective hardware components.
• Previous data center experience is considered a strong advantage.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Amsterdam or be willing to relocate.
• Must have a car or a driver's license.
• Must already reside in the Netherlands (no visa sponsorship or relocation support available for this role).
