The Role
Are you eager to make a significant impact on a major industrial project while gaining valuable on-site experience in a strategic decarbonization initiative? We are seeking a Junior Site Project Engineer to assist with engineering, construction, and permitting activities for a large-scale industrial project in the Netherlands. This innovative project, aimed at decarbonizing industry, provides a unique opportunity to apply your skills while working with a leading client. This full-time position requires on-site presence in the Netherlands, with accommodation and living allowances provided by the client.
You will coordinate field engineering activities on-site, working closely with the engineering office and construction team. Your day-to-day tasks will include ensuring follow-up, expediting, and document control, including deliverable reviews and drawing checks, while managing engineering and construction clashes. You will monitor engineering progress and contribute to project schedule updates, proactively engaging with stakeholders to secure timely and quality deliverables. Additionally, you will plan, monitor, and report on permitting activities to ensure compliance with local regulations, verify construction activities against regulatory requirements, and act as the interface between engineering, construction, and international teams. You will also participate in Quantity Surveying (QS) activities, checking executed quantities and verifying consistency with subcontractor declarations.
