The Role
You will be responsible for monitoring network activity, conducting security audits, responding to incidents, and collaborating with IT and development teams to enhance security measures.
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor network activity, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Perform regular audits of systems and applications to ensure compliance with security policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead investigations during breaches or attacks, working to identify causes, contain threats, and develop prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement security solutions across networks, databases, and applications.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats by attending training and reviewing research.
- Help design, implement, and enforce security policies while educating staff on best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in security monitoring tools such as SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns in network traffic and security alerts.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Hands-on experience in incident response, including malware analysis and forensic investigations.
- A proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and anticipating threats.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC are highly regarded.
