Founded in 2021 by Marieke Meulendijks & Maickel Meyers, Róhe is based in Amsterdam, where our 17th-century residence serves as a sanctuary and source of inspiration.

The Role As a Creative Pattern Maker at Róhe, you will collaborate closely with our Creative Director, Senior Pattern Makers, and Development and Production teams, contributing to the creation of each collection from initial ideas to final production. You will analyze shape, proportion, and volume, developing patterns through cutting and draping. Your responsibilities will include creating initial patterns and toiles, participating in fittings, and refining garments throughout the development process. You will ensure that each design is accurately represented in the final product.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and design team from concept to sketch, developing shapes, proportions, and silhouettes through pattern cutting and draping.
• Create and develop patterns, toiles, and prototypes based on sketches and creative concepts.
• Experiment with volume, proportion, and construction techniques.
• Participate in model fittings and refine garments through multiple fitting stages.
• Oversee garments throughout development and production, ensuring design integrity.
• Provide technical expertise on construction, fit, fabric, and finishing.
• Contribute to the evolution of Róhe's pattern-making techniques and standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Pattern Maker in a high-end or luxury womenswear setting.
• Proficient in traditional manual pattern drafting and digital CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Clo3D), with a strong understanding of proportions and shape.
• Excellent attention to detail and high technical accuracy.
• Experience with luxury and delicate fabrics, including silks and fine wools.
• Ability to interpret creative concepts and develop them through pattern and toile.
• Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Degree in Fashion Design or (technical) Pattern Making.
