As a Cost Specialist for Mechanical Installations, you will play a crucial role in advising our clients. You are a key link in achieving success in complex, large-scale utility projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to create comprehensive cost calculations, ranging from conceptual budgets in the feasibility phase to detailed budgets based on technical designs. This requires empathy, insight into all involved disciplines, and analytical thinking to translate this into financial terms.

You will ensure solid financial foundations, allowing for informed decisions during the design phase in advising our clients. Our clients often include organizations such as educational institutions, hospitals, distribution centers, offices, and residential towers, in both new construction and renovation.

In addition to your role in our projects, you will actively contribute to developments in cost databases, Total Cost of Ownership, and 5D BIM with direct (parametric) links between design, finance, and planning.

• Design steering based on budget, planning, and risk;
• Investment costs, construction costs, and operational cost estimates during design phases, including architectural, mechanical, and electrical aspects;
• Tender advice;

You will be part of the Cost Management team, which is part of the Project Management & Consultancy department. Your workplace will be in Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Eindhoven, or Delft. The department consists of 100 colleagues focused on engineering services and operates nationwide.

What You Bring

You possess strong analytical skills and derive energy from creating solid cost calculations to provide the right advice to clients. Additionally, you bring the following:

• A completed bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in cost expertise or cost calculation within mechanical installations;
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English.
