In this role as a Cost Estimator within the Business Unit General Industry, you will engage in innovative projects in an international and dynamic setting. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare competitive quotations for high-end manufacturing solutions, ranging from handling systems to complex, fully automated production lines.

What We Expect

• A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Industrial Engineering & Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within a technical environment.
• Ability to switch effortlessly between multiple calculations and projects, bringing structure to your work.
• Strong interest in technology, data, and finance, with accuracy and analytical skills to interpret large volumes of numerical information and identify connections between engineering and costs.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Navision is an advantage.
• A structured approach to work, even under time pressure, with proactive information gathering from colleagues.
• A curious and investigative nature, seeking to understand tasks and ensure clarity in your work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bills of materials (BOM), technical drawings, and production information.
• Calculate material costs, machining hours, and assembly times per component.
• Prepare detailed cost price calculations for machines and installations.
• Check and validate data to ensure a consistent and reliable quotation structure.
• Ensure accuracy and uniformity across all calculations.
• Align with engineering and production on technical assumptions and cost-related principles.
