Your Impact

You will actively solve client problems by identifying issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into actionable recommendations. Collaborating with colleagues and clients across Europe, you will develop strategies that align with clients' business objectives and enhance their competitive edge.

You will significantly contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Management approaches, crafting custom solutions and collaborating closely with clients to ensure a positive impact and sustainable results. You will gain new skills and build on your existing strengths through exceptional training, frequent coaching, and mentorship from senior leaders.

You will be based in one of our European offices as part of our Operations Practice, which assists clients in addressing complex operational challenges. Our consultants blend strategic thinking with practical solutions to develop and implement operational strategies that tackle critical client problems.

McKinsey’s Manufacturing service line, part of our Operations Practice, aids leading companies in various industries in developing and implementing forward-thinking lean manufacturing strategies. We support management in addressing strategic and operational questions related to Lean Manufacturing.

Your application should be submitted in English and include your CV and transcripts (high school, university, etc.), indicating all relevant grades.

Your Qualifications and Skills

Master’s degree with outstanding academic performance required
Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing (e.g., Toyota Production System, kaizen methods, TPM, JIT, SMED)
Proven leadership record in professional settings and/or extracurricular activities
Willingness to undertake European assignments during the work week
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
Proficient in communicating complex ideas effectively in English and the local office language, both verbally and in writing.
