The primary goal of this position is to assist the Facilities Management (FM) team with escorting duties, allowing FM staff to concentrate on maintenance, compliance, and operational work order management. The Concierge will primarily perform security escort duties, ensuring the safe and compliant movement of contractors, vendors, and visitors within the FCDO estate, in line with FCDO security policies and local site procedures. Additional responsibilities may include reception cover, general administrative support, and assistance in facilities management, providing operational support as capacity allows.
Security Escorting — Primary Function
- Escort contractors, vendors, and service providers within controlled and secure areas according to FCDO security procedures.
- Be present daily to receive and escort contractors as scheduled.
- Stay with contractors throughout their visits until they leave secure areas.
- Verify contractor identity and escalate any discrepancies immediately.
- Brief contractors on site rules and access restrictions.
- Record escort activities, including date, duration, contractor details, work order, areas accessed, and escorting officer.
- Promptly report any contractor non-compliance.
- Assist in scheduling daily escort requirements by updating Outlook and other booking applications.
