The Role

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Facilities Management (FM) team by performing escort duties, allowing FM staff to concentrate on maintenance, compliance, and operational work order management. The Concierge will primarily conduct security escort duties, ensuring the safe movement of contractors, vendors, and visitors within the FCDO estate, adhering to FCDO security policies and local site procedures. Additional responsibilities include reception coverage, administrative support, and general facilities management assistance as capacity allows.

Responsibilities

Escort contractors, vendors, and service providers within secure areas, following FCDO security procedures.
Attend the site daily to receive and escort contractors as scheduled.
Remain with contractors during their visits until they leave secure areas.
Verify contractor identities and escalate any discrepancies immediately.
Brief contractors on site rules and access restrictions.
Record escort activities, including date, duration, contractor details, work orders, areas accessed, and escorting officer.
Report contractor non-compliance promptly.
Assist with scheduling daily escort requirements using Outlook and other booking applications.

Requirements

Experience in customer service, security, concierge, or facilities support roles is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional, reliable, and security-conscious approach.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems is desirable.
At least C1 proficiency in English and Dutch is non-negotiable.
Technical orientation with an understanding of CAT asset maintenance procedures.
High level of organization and time management skills.
Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy.
Discretion in handling confidential information.
Adaptability to changing priorities and workflows.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when needed.
