At Catawiki, every day brings the extraordinary! We are a unique marketplace for buying and selling special objects, with over 100,000 unique items auctioned weekly. Our mission is to become the world’s most popular destination for special objects. We are looking for a Commercial Intern to support the scaling of Catawiki Live, which enhances our auction dynamics through live streams. In this role, you will help build a strong seller lead pipeline, conduct seller onboardings, and support the growth of this initiative through analytics and insights.

The Role

As a Commercial Intern, you will engage with new sellers, helping them understand how to succeed on Catawiki Live. Your focus will be on experienced live-shopping sellers across Europe, generating sustainable revenue opportunities. You will learn about the Commercial function within a marketplace, particularly in the early stages of the seller journey.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop leads through online monitoring, calls, emails, and collaboration with sales representatives.
• Activate high potential leads for Catawiki Live.
• Onboard new sellers, educating them on successful selling strategies.
• Facilitate a smooth pre and post-Live experience for new sellers.
• Collaborate with experts to understand key category characteristics.
• Develop growth plans for onboarded sellers in sync with internal stakeholders.
• Create educational content for the Catawiki Live Seller Academy.

Requirements

• Fluent in Italian.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Business or related fields.
• Enrolled in an educational institution in the Netherlands during the internship.
• Prior working experience (internship or similar).
• Strong commercial mindset and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for the online industry, with an understanding of seller needs.
• Familiarity with G Suite tools (Google Sheets, Slides).
• Knowledge of online streaming platforms (Twitch, Whatnot, TikTok) is a plus.
• Fluent in English and one other European language (Dutch, French, German, or Spanish).
