• Board & Communications: Oversee the preparation of board materials, including presentations, pre-reads, and follow-ups; manage leadership meetings and quarterly planning to ensure timely decision-making; assist in shaping internal and investor communications for the CEO.
• Finance & Systems: Collaborate with the CFO and CEO to establish scalable finance operations and implement software solutions that automate workflows, frequently leveraging AI.
• Fundraising & Non-Dilutive Funding: Lead equity fundraising efforts from start to finish, including managing data rooms and investor materials, and spearhead public and grant applications like EIC initiatives and the Dutch Innovation Credit.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Facilitate honest trade-offs between R&D and commercial timelines; lead special projects that span multiple leaders; develop KPIs and dashboards to maintain accountability within the leadership team.

• 6-8+ years of experience in high-intensity environments, such as venture capital, consulting, finance, or startup operations, with a proven track record of achieving results in uncertain situations.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, capable of managing financial models and producing high-quality board and investor materials.
• Excellent communication skills at an executive level.
• A proactive ownership mentality, energized by the realities of building a startup, focusing on outcomes and decision-making rather than merely advising.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in uncertain environments without rigid boundaries.
• A focus on strategic and operational work with high leverage, rather than personal assistant tasks, although assistance in hiring may be required early on.
• A leadership style characterized by humility and a commitment to helping others.
