Our client is a deep-tech startup developing cutting-edge equipment for semiconductor manufacturing, blending plasma physics, vacuum engineering, and advanced materials. The company is transitioning from a working proof-of-concept to a fab-ready system from their R&D lab in Eindhoven. You will be responsible for the complete electrical architecture of our deposition platform, where plasma and high-voltage electronics are central to the role. This includes the power and drive electronics that operate the plasma source and their integration with the overall system. You will collaborate closely with System Architects, Senior Mechanical Engineers, and plasma engineers, taking ownership of the entire electrical system.
The Role
You will own the electrical architecture of the system, which includes power distribution, source power, drive electronics, and the interfaces to mechanics, controls, and software. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing high-voltage electronics for our plasma source.
- Defining the power supply strategy, from tailored supplier units to in-house development.
- Ensuring stability, safety, and EMC in a high-voltage plasma environment.
- Transitioning electrical subsystems from prototype to a serviceable, fab-ready design.
