Due to significant growth in the Netherlands, WSP aims to enhance the expertise of our BU Power and Energy Team based in either Rotterdam or Arnhem. We are looking for a Cable Engineer who is passionate about high voltage European projects. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary team that embodies our core values: solidarity, a passion for large-scale and complex projects, and a spirit of innovation and conviviality.

The Role

We seek an expert in the field to support various complex high voltage projects. You will act as the technical expert liaising between our clients and your colleagues, responsible for:

Designing and calculating new cables
Calculating and presenting new proposals to clients
Collaborating closely with the team and sharing solid technical knowledge
Developing layouts for high voltage cable systems
Ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards

Your Team

You will work within a wider team of 30, reporting to the Team Lead. This proactive and diverse team focuses on collaboration, tackling complex high voltage projects both nationally and across Europe.

Requirements

HBO/Bachelor's Degree or a similar qualification in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
A proactive, solution-driven mindset
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Solid knowledge of European legislation surrounding Cable Engineering
Experience with high voltage cables is essential
