Our client is a prominent Dutch organization dedicated to delivering specialized care, education, and participation support for children, young people, and adults with complex needs. They are seeking a Buyer to enhance their team in Sittard/Breda.

The Role

In this position, you will guide and execute purchasing and tendering processes. You will convert the requirements of internal clients into effective purchasing strategies and ensure optimal contracts with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Identify the needs of internal stakeholders, such as managers and budget holders, and translate these into suitable procurement strategies.
Develop an annual purchasing plan and calendar, executing purchasing and (European) tendering processes independently.
Offer guidance throughout the procurement process and to the project team, ensuring a smooth procurement process and assisting in drafting tender documents and contracts.
Organize and support contract management and supplier evaluations.
Prepare and conduct negotiations with both current and prospective suppliers.
Generate management reports and monitor market developments, translating them into opportunities.
Participate in organization-wide projects and contribute to the further professionalization of the procurement function.
