The Role

The People & Culture and Facilities Unit provides strategic and operational support to enhance organizational performance, employee wellbeing, talent development, diversity, and inclusion. The Business Partner People & Culture will report to the Manager People & Culture and Facilities, collaborating with P&C specialists and support colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist managers on People & Culture matters, including workforce planning and talent management.
• Lead annual formation planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and workforce needs.
• Analyze workforce data and provide evidence-based recommendations on staffing and resource allocation.
• Serve as a liaison between managers, employees, and specialized P&C functions for integrated solutions.
• Support the implementation of the Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) and People & Culture policies.
• Ensure compliance with Dutch labor legislation and organizational policies.
• Contribute to employee engagement and diversity initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Employment Law, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar HR Business Partner or advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and employment practices.
• Proven stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment and promoting diversity and inclusion.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.
• Proficient in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid permit to reside and work in the Netherlands.

What We Offer

Oxfam Novib values its employees and offers a motivating work environment in The Hague. This temporary position is a 7-month contract starting as soon as possible, with a salary range of €3,861 to €5,942 gross, depending on experience, based on a 36-hour work week. The role can be performed at 32 to 36 hours per week, with a hybrid work model (50% in-office and 50% remote). We prioritize mental well-being and provide access to professional support and training related to health and wellness.
