BUSINESS MANAGER AMSTERDAM NETHERLANDS (VIE) – ref JOB-1559

This position is available exclusively through the French VIE program (Volontariat International). Located in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the role is for an initial duration of 12 months, renewable once, leading to a long-term position.

The Role

The primary goal of the Netherlands Business Manager (NBM) is to enhance the commercial development, sales, and business activities of Aldebaran Group's services. Our offerings span various industrial sectors, including renewable energy, nuclear, onshore and offshore wind, infrastructure, water, and solar, with a specific emphasis on petrochemicals, chemicals, and refining in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities in the Netherlands and execute business development and marketing activities with clients.
• Enhance the company’s visibility among existing and potential clients, while developing and securing new business.
• Strengthen existing relationships and establish a robust commercial presence in the energy services sector and beyond.
• Support prequalification processes and proposal preparation, including pricing and offers.
• Maintain regular communication with consultants to monitor assignments, ensure their well-being, and extend their missions while generating new opportunities.
• Achieve sales targets and maintain required profit margins.

Management Responsibilities

• Monitor consultant costs closely to ensure expected margins from tender stages are upheld.
• Communicate with clients to ensure satisfactory contract performance and identify potential risks early.
• Liaise with client finance and accounting departments to ensure timely payments.
• Follow up regularly with consultants to ensure satisfaction, mission continuity, and new opportunity generation.

Recruitment Responsibilities

As a key figure in the company, your involvement in recruitment is essential. You will partially participate in the recruitment process, supported by recruitment specialists in France or abroad, and will validate profiles before submission.

Your Profile

You possess a Master’s degree (or higher), such as:

• An engineering degree with a strong interest in business development.
• A business school degree with a keen interest in technical environments.

You have a strong sensitivity to environmental issues, paired with a pragmatic and realistic mindset. Open-minded and curious, you possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds. The role requires travel from Rotterdam to various industrial sites and client offices across the country, so a valid driving license is mandatory.

Mandatory Requirements

This position is strictly open to candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Hold a French social security number (VIE compliance requirement in the Netherlands).
• Fluent in English (C1 level).
• Proficient in Dutch (B2 or C1 level).
