What you’ll do

You will lead the commercial development and implementation of the Cultivated Protein feed business, primarily targeting emerging cell-cultured meat and seafood companies, including startups. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and coordinating cross-functional projects and workstreams within the cell feed program, ensuring effective implementation and evaluation of commercial production options.
• Driving business development and customer acquisition by building relationships with companies in the cell-cultured meat, seafood, and related markets.
• Developing and regularly updating business cases, including operational cost models, product pricing, budgets, and business planning.
• Coordinating production cost analyses and translating technical and operational possibilities into commercially viable propositions.
• Supporting negotiations related to sales and purchase agreements, customer collaborations, partnerships, and potential market-scaling initiatives.
• Contributing to adjacent areas such as procurement and marketing to support program growth.

Who we’re looking for

We seek someone ready to take ownership of a developing business area rather than stepping into an established commercial model. You will bring:

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in business development, sales, marketing, project management, or a related commercial function, such as strategic procurement.
• The ability to develop business cases, operational cost models, pricing analyses, and budgets.
• Strong customer-facing, communication, and project management skills, including experience with commercial agreements and preferably negotiations.
• An entrepreneurial, hands-on approach with the ability to organize and motivate stakeholders across a complex international organization.
• Experience in cultivated protein or cell culture media is valuable but not essential. An existing internal Nutreco network would also be a plus.
