NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum is seeking a Building Area Warden for the Infrastructure Management Section within the Base Support Group. This role involves overseeing engineering and maintenance functions while working in a unique environment alongside military and civilian personnel from various nations.

Our Organization:

Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) serves as a Joint headquarters to plan and conduct operations supporting NATO's core tasks. The Management Directorate (MGT) oversees staffing, workflow, security, and innovation within the organization. The Base Support Group (BSG) executes Host Nation Support Agreements and manages facilities, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The Infrastructure Management Section (IM) directs engineering and maintenance functions, including facility management and procurement.

Responsibilities:

• Execute tasks assigned by the Team Leader Facilities.
• Conduct inspections, including planned preventative maintenance and quality control of contractors for all buildings on Hendrik Camp.
• Support the Building Monitor System (BMS) Operator to optimize climate control and electrical systems.
• Serve as the point of contact for building maintenance work orders and functions as the Building Warden.
• Provide building-specific information for design and repair teams.
• Perform basic refurbishment tasks such as hanging pictures and whiteboards.
• Install, replace, and maintain locks and safes across all buildings, including cutting keys.
• Assist with changing safe and lock combinations upon customer requests.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety protocols for the Facility Team, contractors, and building users.

Requirements:

• Secondary education and completed vocational training in a related field.
• Proficient in English and Dutch, both oral and written.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Facilities Maintenance, including work order systems.
• Experience managing building heating and electrical systems.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and Health & Safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license for vehicle class B.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Familiarity with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Experience in a military or international organization.

This is a full-time Local Wage Rate (LWR) position, requiring 38 hours of work per week. The gross monthly starting salary is EUR 3,169.99, with a maximum of EUR 3,996.83. Additional benefits include a monthly holiday allowance, year-end payment, and participation in a pension plan.

Employees are entitled to 184 hours of holiday per year, increasing with age. This position is open to nationals of all NATO member countries, but applicants should verify if a work permit is necessary.

Selected candidates will receive a 2-year contract with a 2-month probationary period, potentially leading to an indefinite contract. NATO security clearance is required before an employment offer can be made.
