This is an exciting opportunity to join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) as a Service Engineer in The Hague. You will work in a hybrid environment, primarily on-site, focusing on large-scale C4ISR systems, data engineering, and enterprise integration within a high-impact international setting.

The Role

As a Service Engineer, you will be part of a leading team that delivers advanced systems engineering and data solutions. Your responsibilities will include driving requirements, development, and integration across complex, mission-critical platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Construct and optimize data pipelines (ETL) and data structures.
• Design, develop, and test software solutions.
• Support and lead systems development projects.
• Oversee integration, testing, and build activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Enhance tools, processes, and system integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in ICT design or software development (C4ISR experience preferred).
• Proven expertise in Data Engineering, including pipelines, ETL, and data structures.
• Experience with complex systems and integrations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong systems-thinking capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with TOGAF, ITIL, or COBIT (not essential).

Location & Setup

• Position based in The Hague, Netherlands.
• Hybrid work model: 70% on-site and 30% remote.
• Contract duration: May 2026 until the end of 2026.
