In this role, you will perform independent hearing assessments and play a vital role in patient care. You will have your own consultation hours, conducting tests such as tone and speech audiometry, tympanometry, and OAE to accurately evaluate hearing. Your findings will be crucial for the diagnosis and treatment plans developed in collaboration with ENT doctors. You will work with a diverse patient group, from children to adults, dealing with a range of hearing issues from simple to complex cases. You will join a stable and engaged team that encourages your initiative and ideas for improving care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tone and speech audiometry tests.
• Perform tympanometry measurements and OAE tests.
• Document and assess your findings in the electronic patient record.
• Discuss your findings with ENT specialists to determine next steps with patients.
• Register patients and handle other administrative tasks.

You will have extensive patient contact and manage a significant portion of your own consultation hours, requiring independence, good preparation, and flexibility when plans change.

Your Future Workplace:

You will work in the ENT outpatient clinic within a stable and dedicated team, collaborating with other audiology assistants, clinic assistants, and medical assistants, while maintaining close contact with ENT doctors. The clinic operates from locations in Utrecht, Nieuwegein, Woerden, and Houten, with your work location determined through mutual agreement.

• Salary up to €3,882 gross per month (FWG scale 40, Hospital CAO) for a 36-hour workweek, depending on your education and experience.

Requirements:

• A diploma as an audiology assistant or a speech therapy/audiology diploma with experience and an affinity for audiology.
• Proficient in Dutch, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently and handle research results and patient data carefully.
• Willingness to work at different clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with or knowledge of bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA) is a plus!
