We are seeking a talented Associate to enhance our Syndications team. In this role, you will directly contribute to FMO’s mobilization ambitions by assisting in the origination and execution of syndicated transactions, ensuring the smooth execution of Unfunded Risk Sharing Programs (URP), and providing valuable market intelligence and pricing insights across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SYN Investment Officers on the origination and execution of syndicated transactions.
• Coordinate due diligence visits and bankers' meetings for co-lenders/participants.
• Support the team’s unfunded mobilization activities, including monitoring the URP portfolio and preparing reports for our unfunded partners.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and structure syndicated transactions in focus sectors.
• Provide pricing benchmarks for the broader organization.
• Contribute to department projects, such as identifying process improvements and optimizing quality standards.

• Gross yearly salary ranging from EUR 50-60K (based on 40 hours/week, including 8% holiday allowance and 13th month) depending on your seniority, years of relevant experience, and background.

Your Team

We collaborate with various partners, including commercial banks, asset managers, and development finance institutions (DFIs), to enhance the effectiveness of our financial solutions. Our Partnerships for Impact mobilizes third-party capital to increase FMO’s impact in emerging and frontier markets. The Syndications team is crucial in this effort, responsible for all loan syndications, URPs with global insurance companies, and facility agency services.

Your Background

• Master's degree in finance, economics, accounting, investments, law, or business administration.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking or development finance.
• Experience with syndicated loans, legal loan documentation (LMA), knowledge of capital markets, and proficiency in Bloomberg is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
