The Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences (IE&IS) department integrates knowledge from the humanities, social sciences, and technical sciences to tackle the intricate issues faced by industries and society. We collaboratively focus on creating responsible and effective innovations in key research themes: Humans and Technology, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability and Circularity, and the Value of Data-Driven Intelligence. As an Assistant Professor, you will join the Operations, Planning, Accounting and Control (OPAC) group, renowned for its interdisciplinary research that has practical impact and for its excellent educational programs. The OPAC group assists stakeholders across various sectors in making informed decisions, contributing to enhanced efficiency, sustainability, resource utilization, and cost reduction. Research within the group centers on managing operational processes related to supply chains, manufacturing systems, high-tech equipment, distribution, transportation, warehousing, retail, and service processes such as equipment maintenance. We are seeking two Assistant Professors in Operations Management, with a particular interest in candidates focusing on transportation and mobility for one of the positions. In this role, you will conduct and publish top-quality research, partly in collaboration with PhD candidates you co-supervise. You will also design and teach courses in operations management, supply chain management, and/or transportation, dedicating some time to supervising Bachelor and Master thesis projects. With our connection to the Brainport Eindhoven region, numerous opportunities exist for collaboration with industry, allowing you to learn from real-world challenges and make a significant impact through your work with PhD candidates and the students you supervise.
