The Role

As an Assistant Produce Manager, you will maintain stock levels and quality of produce and floral products to comply with Company standards. You will work closely with produce personnel to promote department sales, profits, and customer service.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with upper management to train and develop team members, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
Assist with reviewing historical data regarding sales, ads, and promotions, and co-manage inventory to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels.
Indirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.
Inspect products for quality control and food safety standards, adhering to all governmental product origin labeling.
Promote product sales through suggestive selling initiatives and appealing product displays.
Cut and trim products using sharp knives and prepare displays for high-quality presentation.
Ensure maintenance of stock conditions on produce and floral display racks, tables, and shelves.
Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accuracy of inventory and associated paperwork.
Provide friendly, customer service-oriented support by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing complaints.
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.
