Kies voor de opleiding tot arts in opleiding tot specialist (AIOS) Radiotherapie bij het Erasmus MC, waar je de kans krijgt om een significante impact te maken op de oncologische patiëntenzorg. Deze vijfjarige opleiding is gebaseerd op de eisen van de Registratiecommissie Geneeskundig Specialisten (RGS) en omvat diverse stages, gericht op competentieontwikkeling.
De Rol
Als AIOS Radiotherapie ben je verantwoordelijk voor:
- Het stellen van bestralingsindicaties.
- Het voorbereiden en plannen van bestralingsbehandelingen.
- Het begeleiden en voorlichten van patiënten en hun naasten.
- Het uitvoeren van poliklinische controles tijdens en na de behandeling.
Je draait mee in het dienstrooster en verricht bereikbaarheidsdiensten, waarbij je medische adviezen geeft aan patiënten en medebehandelaars bij toxiciteit door bestraling. Tijdens weekenddiensten ben je medeverantwoordelijk voor spoedbestralingen.
Daarnaast neem je actief deel aan multidisciplinaire overleggen met specialisten uit verschillende vakgebieden om de meest passende behandelstrategie te bepalen.
