A Japanese manufacturer in the Greater Amsterdam Area is seeking an Application Engineer to enhance its technical team during an upcoming transition. In this role, you will work closely with the sales team and customers, offering technical support for hardware products, particularly fan motors and cooling fans. You will serve as a key liaison between European customers and overseas development and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and application support to customers in collaboration with the sales team.
Handle fan motors, cooling fans, and related hardware products.
Understand customer technical requirements and communicate them effectively to overseas development and manufacturing teams.
Act as a technical liaison between European customers and development teams in Japan and China.
Build strong working relationships with internal engineering teams and manufacturing sites.
Support technical discussions, product inquiries, and troubleshooting.
Travel within Europe, including Germany, as needed.

Requirements

Strong engineering background in hardware, electrical, electronic, mechanical, or a related technical field.
Experience or knowledge of motors, fan motors, cooling fans, or similar hardware products is highly advantageous.
Experience in product development, R&D, quality assurance, technical support, or application engineering would be beneficial.
Familiarity with consumer electronics, telecommunications, IT hardware, or a related industry is a plus.
Business-level fluency in English; Japanese language skills would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both commercial and engineering teams.

Conditions

Location: Greater Amsterdam Area, the Netherlands.
Working Style: Hybrid, with up to 3 days of remote work per week after the initial training period.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
Job Type: 1-year contract, full-time, with the intention of long-term employment.
Working Hours: 9:00-17:30, including a 30-minute lunch break.
Start: As soon as possible.
Benefits: Performance bonus of up to 1 month’s salary based on individual KPI achievement, commuting expenses, and other company benefits.
