In this contract role, you will serve as an Anthropology Quality Assurance Lead, responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of AI-generated anthropology content across various projects. Your expertise will help enhance the accuracy and cultural sensitivity of training data for leading AI companies.

The Role

You will review anthropology content, evaluate trainer performance, and ensure adherence to project guidelines. Your responsibilities will include providing detailed feedback, assessing work for anthropological accuracy, and maintaining documentation to support quality workflows.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality monitoring by spot-checking anthropology items and identifying quality issues.
• Evaluate AI-generated anthropology content for accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Communicate updates and guidelines to trainers and QAs via Discord.
• Respond promptly to questions from trainers and QAs regarding anthropological concepts.
• Manage activation of inactive contributors and track follow-ups.
• Maintain project documentation, including style guides and FAQs.
• Schedule and conduct onboarding/training sessions for new contributors.
• Ensure consistent application of review guidelines among all team members.
• Identify and flag any culturally insensitive or ethically problematic content.
• Propose improvements to QA processes for scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Anthropology or a closely related field.
• Strong English proficiency for communication and feedback.
• 3+ years of experience in anthropology research, teaching, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of anthropological theory and methods.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics for quality.
• Familiarity with ethnography, archaeology, and cultural analysis preferred.
• Experience leading remote teams is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable using tools like Discord, Google Sheets, and project management systems.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience with AI training or cultural sensitivity review is a plus.
