De Rol
Als ambulanceverpleegkundige sta je samen met de ambulancechauffeur klaar om zorg te verlenen op de meest cruciale momenten. Jullie vormen een hecht en professioneel team en zijn samen verantwoordelijk voor de zorg en het vervoer van patiënten in acute of kwetsbare situaties. Jij neemt zelfstandig beslissingen en voert samen de nodige handelingen uit – want in jouw vak telt elke seconde.
Geen dag is hetzelfde! Je komt in de meest uiteenlopende zorg- en werksituaties terecht, maar één ding blijft altijd centraal staan: de best mogelijke zorg voor de patiënt. Soms gaat het om spoedzorg na een ongeluk, soms om psychosociale of psychiatrische hulp.
Wat de situatie ook is, jij bent vaak de eerste zorgprofessional ter plaatse. Of het nu gaat om trauma’s, medische klachten of psychosociale crisissituaties, jij weet wat je moet doen. Daarbij sta je er nooit alleen voor: je werkt nauw samen met huisartsen, ziekenhuizen, verloskundigen, GGZ, thuiszorg en natuurlijk andere hulpdiensten zoals brandweer en politie.
