The Role

Join AIT Worldwide Logistics, a leading global freight forwarding company, and take your career to the next level! We are seeking a Business Development Manager to create, grow, and manage an account base while driving our corporate revenue goals. This field-based role is ideal for individuals located in central or eastern Italy, specifically the Rome area or Trento, Verona, and Venice.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and initiating business development opportunities, developing and executing a field sales business plan, and earning our customers' trust through ethical conduct and high performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business across all core competencies
  • Identify, initiate, and engage with clients to provide sustained and profitable revenue streams
  • Create and execute a business plan to meet sales quotas and budgets
  • Support and consult existing customers while fostering professional cooperation
  • Conduct sales and negotiation meetings
  • Prepare offers, calculations, and customer correspondence
  • Assemble accompanying documents such as offers, concepts, and presentations
  • Plan, organize, and execute customer visits
  • Maintain data in the CRM and manage cross-departmental topics
  • Implement regular review meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Completed further training as a forwarding specialist
  • 5+ years of relevant B2B sales experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Industry preferred
  • Native level Italian and very good English language skills
