The Role

We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our global quality engineering team, ensuring quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle and advocating for the user experience.

The Role

As a Test Engineer, you will engage in planning and design to ensure testing considerations are integrated from the outset. You will define and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests, and collaborate with developers to enhance testability. Your role will involve logging and tracking defects, conducting root-cause analysis, and suggesting process improvements to optimize testing efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and design to ensure testing is prioritized from the beginning.
  • Define and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests.
  • Review results from daily regression cycles and address failures.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance testability (e.g., unit tests, clear test data).
  • Log, track, and retest defects, ensuring issues are well-documented and reproducible.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys) to prevent future defects.
  • Propose and support process improvements for faster, more effective testing.
  • Trigger and monitor tests in the CI pipeline, reporting on outcomes.
  • Determine what to automate and what to test manually based on risk and value.
  • Work closely with Developers, Designers, and Product Managers to align on quality expectations.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with other Quality Engineers and Software Quality Specialists.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding quality, risks, and progress.

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of experience in software testing.
  • Experience working in agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of test design and execution (functional, regression, exploratory, risk-based).
  • Experience in reviewing and maintaining test cases and requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated tests.
  • Familiarity with tools like BrowserStack and Postman for API testing.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
  • Strong attention to detail and organized work approach.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and risks.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
