The Building Company is seeking an Administrative Clerk for our BUCO branch in Middelburg. This role is essential for maintaining efficient administrative processes and supporting various functions within the store.

The Role

You will be responsible for performing general administrative tasks, managing creditors, and handling HR administration duties. Additionally, you will provide relief cashier and reception services when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional relief at the reception and cashier when required.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of customer invoices related to debtors' accounts.
• Assist with cycle counting as part of the inventory auditing process.
• Organize and consolidate month-end statements for posting, tabulating and posting data in record books.
• Compile and maintain records of business transactions and office activities, performing various clerical duties and utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of documents related to the onboarding of new employees.
• Assist the Store Accountant with administration related to skills development and employment equity reporting.
• Maintain accurate personnel files and records, including sorting leave forms and managing WCA claims and disciplinary actions.
• Provide assistance with recruitment administration and job advertising as needed.
• Accurately capture GRNs/CVRs into the system, preparing and sending out receipts, bills, policies, statements, and checks.
• Match GRNs to captured invoices and process CVRs efficiently for discrepancies in quantities, price differences, and damaged goods.
• Reconcile creditors to supplier statements accurately and timely, investigating variances and reporting outcomes to management.
• Resolve supplier queries professionally and efficiently.
• File unpaid matched GRNs, delivery notes, orders, and buy-out details.
• Uphold and promote the company’s values and culture.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Business Management N4 - N6.
• Human Resources N4 - N6.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general administration duties.
