The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to manage a portfolio of strategic customers and drive new business growth in the region. You will play a crucial role in developing customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities, and serving as the primary contact between customers and internal teams, including marketing, customer service, technical, supply chain, and operations. The successful candidate will oversee the entire customer journey, from strategic account planning and forecasting to commercial negotiations and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts across the region.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders at various levels within customer organizations.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with customer objectives.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract management activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experience and service delivery.
• Provide accurate sales forecasting and maintain market intelligence across the territory.

Requirements

We are looking for commercially driven sales professionals with experience in the specialty chemicals or ingredients sector. Suitable backgrounds may include:

• Specialty Ingredients Sales
• Personal Care Ingredients
• Home Care Ingredients
• Chemical Distribution
• Specialty Chemicals
• Surfactants, Emollients, Actives, Antioxidants, or related Ingredient Technologies

Candidates should demonstrate:

• A proven track record of B2B sales success within chemicals or ingredients.
• Strong account management and business development experience.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing multinational customer accounts.
• Fluency in Dutch is required; German would be advantageous.
