About the Role

The Account Manager is responsible for managing a specific territory of key accounts, providing advanced service and technical support to customers. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, you will work remotely to cover customers in the Netherlands and Flanders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstrations, and technical seminars.
• Attend local vendor shows and company-sponsored trade shows.
• Build account relationships beyond the buying level to engage key decision-makers with new and existing customers.
• Ensure that the assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop business plans and sales strategies for key accounts.
• Work with cross-functional teams and act as a resource for colleagues, including coaching, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to facilitate dialogue across teams.
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts and negotiate effectively.
• Strategic planning and resource allocation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of sales principles and negotiation methods.
• Good knowledge of Chromatography.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Travel and Requirements

• Willingness to travel up to 60% based on territory needs.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on laboratory experience with chromatography, specifically HPLC.
• Proven track record in Sales or Customer Service roles.
• Experience with customer relationship management software.
• Familiarity with the food and environmental market.
