The Role

As an Account Manager, you will manage a specific territory of key accounts, providing advanced service and technical support to customers. This remote position reports to the District Sales Manager and is part of the Phenomenex Benelux team, covering customers in the Netherlands and Flanders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstrations, and technical seminars.
• Attend local vendor shows and company-sponsored trade shows.
• Build account relationships beyond the buying level to engage key decision-makers with new and existing customers.
• Ensure assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop business plans and sales strategies for key accounts.
• Work with cross-functional teams and act as a resource for colleagues, including coaching, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to facilitate dialogue across teams.
• Strategic planning and resource allocation skills to meet business needs.
• Advanced knowledge of sales principles, negotiation methods, and ability to identify business opportunities.
• Good knowledge of Chromatography.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Nice to Have

• Laboratory hands-on experience in chromatography using HPLC.
• Proven track record of success in Sales/Customer Service roles.
• Experience with customer relationship management software.
• Background in the food/environmental market.
