The Role

As an Account Manager, you will manage a specific territory of key accounts, providing advanced service and technical support. You will report to the District Sales Manager and work remotely to cover customers in the Netherlands and Flanders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer visits to deliver technical information, product demonstrations, and seminars.
• Attend local vendor shows and company-sponsored trade shows.
• Build relationships with key decision makers at new and existing accounts.
• Ensure your territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop business plans and sales strategies for key accounts.
• Work with cross-functional teams, providing resources, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to facilitate discussions and negotiate effectively.
• Strategic planning and resource allocation skills to meet business needs.
• Advanced knowledge of sales principles and negotiation methods.
• Familiarity with chromatography, especially HPLC.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.

Travel and Requirements

• Willingness to travel up to 60% based on territory needs.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on laboratory experience in chromatography using HPLC.
• Proven success in sales or customer service roles.
• Experience with customer relationship management software.
• Background in the food or environmental market.
