We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to join our dynamic HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) team in Bleiswijk. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing and upholding the HelloFresh Benelux HSE strategy at our Distribution Center and Logistics Hub. You will serve as the primary contact for all health and safety issues on-site, proactively identifying risks, driving improvements, and fostering a robust safety culture among employees.

The Role

You will spend significant time on the floor, collaborating closely with teams to identify hazards, lead investigations, and translate safety protocols into actionable practices. Your expertise, energy, and communication skills will be essential in helping others understand the importance of safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and follow up on risk assessments, workplace inspections, and incident investigations to enhance safety performance.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, procedures, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote safety ownership across teams.
• Support managers and team leads in implementing HSE policies and ensuring compliance with Dutch health and safety regulations.
• Engage actively with employees on the work floor, listening, observing, and empowering them to take charge of safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create practical, sustainable solutions for identified risks and unsafe situations.
• Foster a proactive and positive safety culture where individuals feel responsible, informed, and secure.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree along with an MVK or HVK qualification, or a background in integral safety (IVK).
• 3–4 years of experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in logistics, production, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of Dutch health and safety regulations and risk assessment methods.
• Proven experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and drafting clear, practical procedures.
• Experience in conducting internal audits and compliance checks.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to motivate rather than enforce.
• A hands-on, problem-solving attitude with the ability to engage with people and co-create solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and remain organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Full working proficiency in Dutch and English (both required).
