Join our client's team as an OpenSCAD Specialist and take a crucial role in developing advanced parametric CAD models from concept to final export. You will leverage your expertise in OpenSCAD, documenting your entire workflow and design rationale while contributing to innovative projects in AI-driven design intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive OpenSCAD projects, from gathering requirements to exporting final models for manufacturing or prototyping.
• Structure and document OpenSCAD scripts, establishing robust parameters and reusable modules for efficient parametric design.
• Apply Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) techniques to create complex 3D models and execute 2D-to-3D extrusions.
• Rapidly iterate on parametric models, showcasing logical script-driven decision-making and engineering reasoning throughout.
• Prepare and export files in STL, OFF, or other standard formats, ensuring compatibility with downstream manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing clear written and verbal explanations of your design process.
• Contribute to AI learning by transparently sharing your professional thought process, trade-offs, and technical decisions made during projects.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with OpenSCAD, having completed full projects from initial concept to final export.
• Strong understanding of CAD fundamentals and CSG methodologies.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software tools.
• Proven ability to create, document, and optimize reusable OpenSCAD modules and parametric scripts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and detailed technical explanations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting while supporting collaborative project objectives.
• Meticulous attention to engineering decisions and logical progression in design tasks.
