The Role

Ben jij de Embedded Software Engineer die we zoeken? In deze rol speel je een cruciale rol in de ontwikkeling van instrumentbesturingssoftware voor onze staande XRD-producten. Je komt te werken in een dynamische, internationale omgeving waar je jouw expertise volledig kunt benutten en verder kunt ontwikkelen. Je ondersteunt de ontwikkeling van nieuwe producten binnen Malvern Panalytical's X-ray producten, die worden gebruikt voor materiaalanalyse in wetenschappelijke en industriële product- en procescontrole.

De Rol

Je focus ligt op de levering van innovatieve staande XRD-producten. Als firmware-ontwikkelaar ben je verantwoordelijk voor de implementatie van firmware. Je werkt nauw samen in een multidisciplinair team van embedded software-ingenieurs, systeem-, mechanische en elektrotechnische ingenieurs om nieuwe functies in onze instrumentbesturingssoftware te ontwerpen en implementeren, de correcte werking van de software te testen en testautomatisering te ondersteunen. Je zorgt ervoor dat het softwareontwerp robuust is, wat resulteert in nauwkeurige, betrouwbare en onderhoudbare programma's. Je verwerft, onderhoudt en verspreidt kennis van actuele softwaretechnologie en de mogelijke toepassingen ervan voor Malvern Panalytical. Je werkt met X-ray systemen en lost productproblemen op die verband houden met software en gerelateerde systeemengineeringkwesties.

Verantwoordelijkheden

  • Ontwikkelen en implementeren van firmware voor XRD-producten.
  • Samenwerken met multidisciplinaire teams om nieuwe functies te ontwerpen.
  • Testen van de werking van de software en ondersteunen van testautomatisering.
  • Zorgen voor robuustheid en onderhoudbaarheid van softwareontwerpen.
  • Kennis up-to-date houden van softwaretechnologie.

Vereisten

  • Resultaatgericht met betrekking tot klantproducten; in staat om te denken als eindgebruiker met nadruk op productkwaliteit.
  • Ervaring met Agile ontwikkelingsprocessen.
  • Ervaring met real-time embedded software.
  • Bekendheid met testmethodologieën.
  • Vloeiend in het Engels en bereid om (Nederlands te leren).

Gewenst

  • Bachelor in Computer Science en ervaring met technische automatisering.
  • Ervaring met ANSI C, C#, agile methodologieën en testgedreven ontwikkeling.
  • Kennis van softwareprincipes zoals Clean Code en SOLID.
