As a vital member of our Housekeeping team on River vessels, the Stateroom Steward/ess ensures guests receive friendly and personalized housekeeping services at all times. This role involves maintaining high cleanliness standards in guest staterooms and public areas while delivering exceptional customer service. The Stateroom Steward/ess reports directly to the Housekeeper.

The Role

Daily responsibilities include:

• Cleaning staterooms, public areas, toilets, and the reception area.
• Handling cleaning products, materials, and housekeeping equipment with care.
• Managing laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding.
• Distributing daily programs, gift orders, and providing turn-down services in staterooms.
• Reporting technical defects in staterooms to the supervisor/reception and assisting with embarkation/disembarkation.
• Conducting stock takes, inventory, and participating in onboard training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a similar housekeeping position.
• Good English proficiency; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with a service-oriented and guest-focused mindset.
• Well-groomed, maintaining impeccable hygiene standards, and discreet with confidential information.
