The Role

We are collaborating with a private equity-backed global software company with approximately 600 employees worldwide. They are seeking a VP of HR to join their executive team and play a crucial role in preparing the organization for its next growth phase. This leadership position will oversee the global HR function, which requires a comprehensive overhaul. This operations-focused HR transformation role has a clear mandate: to establish strong fundamentals, enhance HR systems and data, and create a credible, streamlined HR function. The ideal candidate will be a commercially-minded HR leader who prioritizes execution and can focus on essential tasks while disregarding distractions. While strategy is important, it is only effective once the basics are in place.

The Role

You will be responsible for transforming the global HR operating model, evaluating and upgrading core HR systems, establishing a single source of truth for people data, redesigning global people processes and solutions, and ensuring that the HR function can withstand scrutiny during an exit.

Requirements

  • Global HR experience within a technology-focused business.
  • Previous HR leadership role in a private equity-backed organization.
  • Understanding of building an effective HR function in a remote-first environment.
  • Knowledge of global employment law, working practices, and culture across Europe, the US, and APAC.
  • Strong focus on data, HR operations, processes, and efficiency.
  • Hands-on leadership style, with the ability to lead by example and actively participate in tasks.

This position is ideal for someone who has either:

  • Managed an HR operations team in a larger organization and understands best practices in processes, data, and efficiencies.
  • Built an HR function previously and can prioritize key aspects in a private equity context.

You will be a pragmatic and commercially-minded HR operator with international experience, someone who thrives on creating order from complexity and is driven by defined challenges and a results-oriented role.
