Zo'n 16.000 collega's van de Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen (DJI) voeren vrijheidsstraffen en vrijheidsbenemende maatregelen uit die door de rechter zijn opgelegd. Wij zijn verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse verzorging van justitiabelen en werken op vele manieren met hen samen aan voorbereiding op terugkeer in de maatschappij. Zo dragen we bij aan de veiligheid van de samenleving.
