The Role

We are seeking a Junior HR Operations Officer to assist with the daily management of HR processes. This role focuses on providing administrative and operational HR support, ensuring that essential HR activities are carried out accurately and punctually. You will collaborate with a small HR team to maintain smooth day-to-day HR operations across various European countries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for onboarding and offboarding processes across multiple European countries.
  • Prepare standard HR documentation and assist in induction steps in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and trackers.
  • Register employees with external partners such as benefits, insurance, and pension providers.
  • Follow up on administrative exit processes.
  • Collect and process monthly payroll inputs (absences, contract changes, benefits, etc.).
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure timely information submission.
  • Perform initial checks on payroll outputs and report discrepancies to the HR team.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR-related employee inquiries.
  • Support ongoing internal initiatives like employee communications, well-being actions, and internal gifts.
  • Assist in organizing internal events and team activities.
  • Prepare standard HR reports and workforce overviews (e.g., headcount, turnover, absenteeism).
  • Support GDPR-related administration and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring local labor law updates and escalate issues as necessary.

Requirements

  • Experience in an HR administrative, HR operations, or payroll support role, or a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Fluent in Dutch and French (both spoken and written), with English at B2 level or higher. Confident B1 or B2 Dutch speakers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and recurring monthly processes.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently within established procedures.
  • Experience with HR systems or payroll tools is an advantage.
