The Role

TRT is seeking experienced IT Engineers specializing in Servers, Storage, and Networking to join our Global Support Services Team. This remote position offers the opportunity to develop expertise across multiple technology areas, moving beyond vendor-specific knowledge.

The Role

As a Global Support Services Engineer (GSSE), you will be responsible for resolving incidents and implementing improvements for enterprise-level machines, including superdome systems, power systems, and storage solutions. Your role will involve hardware break-fix, troubleshooting software issues, and occasionally addressing application-related problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical resolution of escalated cases involving enterprise-level hardware and software failures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and remote troubleshooting for incidents.
  • Communicate with clients via email, WebEx, and phone to provide updates on incident resolutions.
  • Coordinate with value chain administrators for spare parts requirements.
  • Organize field service engineers for on-site actions as needed.
  • Perform remote system administration for managed services customers.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for unresolved hardware, software, or managed service cases.
  • Assist Consulting Engineers with PSC/work plan creation and onboarding activities.
  • Approve deliverables such as Change Request Forms (CRFs) and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
  • Train new Global Support Services Engineers.

Requirements

  • A College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT system hardware break-fix and software resolution.
  • Willingness to support both hardware and software issues.
  • Advanced Technical Expert status.
  • Two industry certifications in different enterprise platforms.
  • Vendor certification in UNIX systems (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, Red Hat, etc.).
  • Networking certification equivalent to CCNP or higher.
