The Role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is essential for driving growth in our sales pipeline within a specific segment or product. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers through both inbound and outbound prospecting efforts. By understanding client needs and educating prospects, the SDR plays a vital role in generating qualified opportunities that contribute to overall revenue growth. Strong communication skills, curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment are crucial for success.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through various prospecting methods, including email, phone, social media, events, and campaigns.
  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective clients by understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Create and execute outreach sequences, including personalized email campaigns and cold calls to engage and penetrate accounts.
  • Engage with existing customers to identify cross-sell or expansion opportunities where applicable.
  • Educate and nurture leads to guide them towards qualified meetings or the next steps in their buyer journey.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead and activity data in CRM and sales engagement tools.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure a smooth transition of qualified opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to refine lead-generation processes and improve workflows.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline contribution.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales development, business development, or outbound commercial roles (experience level may vary).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging prospects across multiple channels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote-friendly environment.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding activity and pipeline generation targets.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative to find solutions.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales engagement tools is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong growth orientation; adaptable to changes in processes or market focus.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create compelling outreach messages.
  • Experience in HR tech, fintech, or high-growth startup environments is beneficial but not required.
  • Native or fluent in English and Portuguese.
