We are seeking a Mid-level Backend Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at DataSnipper. In this role, you will work on essential platform services that facilitate authentication, authorization, and access across our product. Your contributions will help create reliable, secure, and scalable systems that empower all backend teams, directly influencing every aspect of our product, including new initiatives like usage and credit management for our AI capabilities.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Building and maintaining core IAM services (authentication, authorization, access management)
• Developing scalable and secure backend systems
• Supporting the development of usage & credit management systems
• Collaborating with other backend teams to ensure seamless integrations
• Contributing to the improvement of system reliability and performance
• Participating in an on-call rotation (second line after tech support)

Requirements

• 3–6 years of backend development experience with OOP languages (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Solid understanding of API development
• Experience in building scalable systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Proactive attitude and sense of ownership
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks and effectively communicate blockers
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• Good experience with testing and various methodologies

Nice to Have

• Exposure to authentication/authorization systems
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Interest in backend security and platform systems
• Experience working in platform teams
• Experience in startups or scaleups
