As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the data architecture that supports our analytics and data platform initiatives. This role is crucial for enabling scalable and secure data solutions across the organization.

The Role

In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data architecture strategies aligned with our business goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing hub-and-spoke integration frameworks in Python for seamless data movement between operational systems and cloud platforms.
• Building and maintaining data pipelines using Dagster for orchestration, dbt for transformation, and Snowflake/Databricks for storage and analytics, incorporating CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
• Defining and enforcing integration, data modeling, and governance standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Enabling diverse ingestion patterns through YAML-based configuration and robust data contracts.
• Designing and optimizing cloud-native data platforms, monitoring reliability and performance.
• Driving technology adoption and modernization, recommending tools, and migrating legacy integrations.
• Fostering AI and data excellence by mentoring engineers and initiating cost analysis for major cost drivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data integration, platform engineering, or analytics.
• Proven Python development skills for data integrations and orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure; strong skills in dbt and Dagster.
• Expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and integrating business systems into cloud platforms.
• Experience designing Data Lakes and understanding Data Contracts.
• Familiarity with ML/AI Ops platforms and developing monitoring solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark and Kafka.
• Experience with data governance and compliance frameworks.
